Birds of Prey

Digital Scrap Fun has a cute kit out called Birds of Prey. I love the monochromatic colors in this kit. This is a great kit to scrap all your bird watching activities, the bird section of the zoo, or any other bird themed layout you may have. It focuses on birds of prey including eagles, owls, vultures and crows. Click on the preview to go to her store. She also has brag book pages made using this kit.

It's a Spring Thing

Designing Divas has a new kit out this week Called It's a Spring Thing! I know many of you are stuck in snow storms and bad weather. Sizzling Hot

Adriana's Cafe and AmyDane Designs got together for a great collaboration for a Valentines kit. It's called Sizzling Hot and they went with different colors than the normal red and white. I love the results they got. The colors are so rich! I love everything about both kits. Check out the previews, they are linked to the store.


Have you ever created a layout with a picture in mind, and then couldn't find the picture you wanted? Well that is what happened with this layout. I had a picture in mind that I was going to use on this layout when I created it. It was of my husband and I dancing at our wedding. It was a shot taken at our reception by my new brother-in-law of a close up shot. He said it would be the only close up and we would be glad to have it. He was so right! But, when I looked for the CD with the picture on it, I couldn't find it. We have been packing and storing stuff that I couldn't find it any where! So I came across another wedding picture of my nephew and his wife and thought it would work just as well. So here is the layout I did using this kit.

Designing Darlings Week 3 - Yummy Days

Well, I've made to it round 3 of the Designing Darlings Competition at Stuff to Scrap. This week, we were giving a picture and the story behind the picture and had to come up with a color palette and a theme. The picture was of peaches, and I noticed the sunshine coming through the leaves. Well, I came up with a color palette of peach, yellow and a few other colors and since peaches are sooooo good, I consider them Yummy! So my kit is called Yummy Days (and yes, I've been singing Glory Days in my head and saying Yummy Days instead!)
