Challenges!

I have been killing two birds with one stone lately. I'm using my Sketchapalooza class to do some challenges on Stuff to Scrap (STS). Works out well. Here are some that I have done.

This is my sister's family. I am going to use this for the title page of their section of my album. It was also for a color challenge on STS. The colors were orange, blue and green. I used all but the green.

This is my sister's middle son, Brodie. He is so funny and all boy. This was for a Use it or Lose it challenge on STS. They give you a mini sample kit and you have to use all the pieces in the kit. I had finished all my sketches from the class, so I went over to Feeling Scrappy's blog site and looked for sketches there. I found a good one!

This last one is of a friend of mine. This was during a National Meeting with out company and they gave us a fun evening one night. Here she is being a true cowgirl!

End of class is upon me!

I really hate to see the see in the end of the Sketchapalooza class, but they say all good things must come to an end! I still have a few more sketches to do, but having to wait for the pictures I want to use.

Anyway, while I wait for pictures, I will share what I have done.

This is of my sister two oldest boys cutting up the tree that fell in Mom & Dad's yard earlier this year.

Here is one I did of my two granddaughters. I bought them matching dresses and thought they looked so cute.Sketch by Stacey Curry, and theDigital Kit is called Dandelion Dream by Dream Big Design (the red is one I recolored)

This last one is a Speed Scrap challenge that I did on Stuff to Scrap. This was the first one I have ever done and it was fun. I hope to do more in the future. The give you instructions every 10 minutes for an hour, and everyone comes up with their own layout. It reminded me of the Mystery Challenge we used to do on ScrapShare. Anyway, here is my version. It's my hubby and the granddaughters.MommyScraps's Backyard kit was used for the paper; Scrappin' Kim's Country Road kit used for flowers and brads; the mask/cut photos was made by Mara Wegner.

Xandra

Xandra pulled a chair over by the sliding glass door and just sat there and looked out the window. She was awful quite, so I went looking for her. When I saw her by the door, I turned around and went and got my camera. Here is the layout I did.

The sketch is by Tracy Kosofsky and the Digital kit is called Bears eat Beets by Scraps by Ellay.

Traditional Layouts

Here are a few traditional layouts I have done. This one is of Jesse and Xandra playing around the house. They both love the tutu and take turns wearing it.

Sketch by Stacey Curry

This is a picture of Jesse looking out over a lake. Crista took the picture during our photo shoot. Jesse aways says she's thinking when she's not sure how to answer you.

Sketch by Jayne Jones

This is a layout of I did of VBS at Memorial. Jesse and Joey both went and had a great time. They learned how to be fearless for God.

This one is of Philip and Jesse playing. He had her Dora doll and was using Dora's hair to tickle her. These are some of my favorite pictures of Philip since he is smiling so big. He rarely smiles in a picture.

My First Template

I'm doing a challenge on Stuff to Scrap that has been a great learning experience for me. They have a template challenge every month where you are given a template and you can do your layout from that. Well, this month she had us make our own template. She gave us some of the pieces to use and then we had to add our own. Here is what I came up with mine. I guess it's almost like my first sketch too.

Here is the layout I did using the template. It is of my nephew Logan. The digital kit is by Amy Sumrall called Childrens Day.

Layouts, Layouts and more Layouts!

I am so glad I signed up for this class. I've been able to get so much done. Today is a free day, no new sketch and I'm all caught up. I'm going to work on another layout using one of the sketches I've already done!

Here are some of my layouts:

These are from a photo shoot with Lovelace Photography. She does beautiful work! The sketches are from the Sketchapalooza class I'm taking on Feeling Scrappy.

Kit by Flower Scraps called Surf City. Photo's by Lovelace Photography. Sketch by Stacey Lokovic and Stacey Curry.

Here is another one I did. My sister and I took the kids to McDonald's and I took my camera along. Her middle one Brodie loved it, but he didn't want to go through the tubes. After about an hour, we were cleaning up and we hear him start fussing. We looked around and he was gone! Lost in the tubes! Jesse and Joey found him and led him out. As soon as he was out, back in he went. Now he loves it!

Here is one of my favorites. This is Xandra wearing the dog's reindeer antlers. She looked so cute. I thought the pictures were taken in December, I laughed out loud when I saw they were actually taken in February!

Feeling Scrappy Sketch

Here is my first sketch in the Sketchapalooza class. It's of my granddaughters at the beach. We had a great time that day, but it sure was hot! The sketch is by Stacey Curry. The paper and elements are from a collabration kit; Hot Fun in the Summertime from Funky Time by Amber and one of the paper is from Summer Fun by The Scappy Kat. I really like the way it sets the pictures off.

I'll have more later.
